I am grateful that CDs retain their musical data and I can laugh knowing my dad is pumping iron to N'Sync's debut album.
I am grateful I can survive without being connected. I am grateful for peanut butter, strawberries and bread. I am grateful for a friendly game night. I am grateful for the maturity, intelligence, hilarity, kindness, and consideration of my friends. I am grateful for the ability to express myself carefully and accurately to those I love without offending them. I am grateful for the freedom to wear what I feel like wearing and not being judged for it. I love that other Austinites feel the same way even on public transportation.
I am grateful for public transportation despite the crazy things that can happen on a bus. I am grateful for the new friends I have made in my last two semesters. I am grateful for the networks I've built and the new ones I have joined. I am grateful for the time I spend turning friends into better friends and acquaintances into friends. I am grateful for my ability to DANCE! I am grateful for generous strangers. I am grateful for medical developments that help me overcome the madness of an irregular flow... I know this may be too graphic for some, but it's nature.
I am grateful for those people who didn't have to accept me and did so despite others around them ignoring me or even bothering to learn my name. I am grateful for old friends in new places and lapping once-hated areas of entertainment places. I am grateful for fair, easily-tanned skin with new love pecks showing everyday. I am grateful for Cindie's Catering burgers and apple soda. I am grateful for running into people all over Laredo. Tuesday:
I'm so grateful for the opportunities available to some one in my position. There are so many things I can say I'd like to have now, but opportunities are some times way better forms of getting to know yourself and your strengths. Wednesday: I'm grateful for great people at the plasma donation center. They make donating plasma fun even when they can't stick me. Thursday: I'm grateful for the community that keeps fighting the good fight. Barrington Elementary School employees are the most wonderful, patient, supportive, and loving people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and sharing some existence with. I'm also for being free to end sentences with prepositions. Friday: I'm grateful to the good folks at Go Local Austin for having such a cool contest. And for sending me the card I won so quickly! Used it tonight at El Sol y La Luna. I'm also grateful for the amazing music being made in this, The Live Music Capital of the World! Kalua and Maneja Beto were great, but VITERA totally blew my mind with their awesomeness (from their attire to their instruments and through out their musical skills)! Saturday: I'm grateful for the lively, hardworking brewers at Jester King Craft Brewery. Their commitment to quality and equality among other Texas-born libations makes me super proud to be a Texas Craft Beer drinker. Sunday: I'm grateful for time alone! I wish all the lovely ladies in my life remembered that alone doesn't have to mean lonely. Yesterday I was grateful for the amazing family and friends I have.
Dad has a great way of putting positive and negative circumstances in perspective and is always a source of logical and emotional support. Mom is the greatest human being I know. She loves to talk, loves to share, and loves finding great deals. Man is the most patient sister anyone could ask for. I like when she says something I'm thinking or saying something she's thinking. Greg is the coolest kid everrr. Stuff that is cool now Greg told me about at least a month ago. Mikey reminds me you're never too old or accomplished to try to make things right and set new goals for yourself. Chelle finds a way to make everything around her cute, beautiful, and/or awesome. Joey shows me stuff on the Internet I never knew was accessible online. Otilo is the most grounded of my peers. He is driven and knows what he wants. Jen is a patient, calming force in my life. She is a living example of how a person can lose everything and rebuild. Today I was grateful for my extended family. Uncle Marlin is never afraid to say what he feels and thinks. Mami Aima knows everything there is to know about finding and creating the right professional place suited to your satisfaction. Andy sets a high standard for time management and balancing the elements in his life that make him happy. Aimee can make anything funny just by saying or finding the right meme for it. Drake just wants to be loved and love you back. |
